Results of Election

I wrote a post on November 4 on my vote. This is the results of the election.  My Ballot Link

Amendment 66 Public School Funding was voted down.  NO

Proposition AA Marijuana Retail Tax was voted in.  YES

These results were expected although the Proposition didn’t go my way. Both had about a 66% to 34% split in votes.

“The rejection of the tax hike and school-finance overhaul came despite proponents' huge war chest — more than $10 million — for a campaign to convince voters that a tax hike to bolster education constituted a worthwhile investment.”

If you live in Colorado you know this but there was a “Yes on 66” ad every commercial break and it was endorsed by most the states newspapers. I didn’t see any advertisements on TV at all against 66 or any for any side of Proposition AA.
